I often use this game in my classroom for peer tutoring.

Firstly the children and I generate their words for the game during a guided reading session or from a high frequency word list.

Next we go to the computer and they type their words into the template and I check them. At this point I make suggestions as to 'tricky' bits of the word that it would 'make learning easier' if we changed the colour of.

Once this is done we print them out and put them into a plastic sleeve and the children then play each other using their gameboards. First person to win 5 games reigns supreme
