Transformations are also known as Flips, Slides and Turns

To 'Flip' a shape is to reflect it over a line.

To 'Slide' a shape is to move it along in any direction.

Just imagine pushing this graphic from there to here.  You have simply 'slide' it along.

To Turn a shape is to rotate it about a point.

Here you can see this pig has been turned through about 180 degrees.

Something to Note

Flips, slides and turns alter the position of shapes but
leave their form and size unchanged.
